I'm in the process of leveling my stairs to prevent water from getting into the foundation, but I'm struggling to remove these aluminum railings. The nuts are super tight, and nothing I have seems to fit. I don't want to mess with the screws that are embedded in the concrete, just the ones securing the railings. Any advice on how to approach this? I've looked on YouTube and Google but haven't found anything helpful. Here's a link to an imgur image for reference: https://imgur.com/a/BOsyJsd

If you're having trouble getting the nuts off because of space issues, try using a ratchet set with an extension bar. It can help get around those tight spots where a standard spanner won't fit. I get that sometimes even flexible tools don’t work when the gap is too narrow, though. Just keep experimenting and you’ll find a way!
It sounds like the railing is likely attached to the newel post under the handrail. To get it off, you might need to figure out how the handrail was originally installed and work backwards. Check for any panels or covers that might hide the screws connecting the railing to the bracket. Sometimes they can be tricky to spot, especially if everything is really tight! Good luck!
