Tips for Scoring Cheaper M12 Batteries?

Hey everyone! I've just switched over to the Milwaukee tools after realizing DeWalt didn't have what I needed for my water pump. While I'm loving the 1.5Ah batteries in my impact driver, they just don't cut it for heavy-duty work with the pump. I've noticed that the prices of M12 batteries can be pretty high, so I'm wondering if anyone has some insider tips on how I might score a better deal on them? And just for clarity, I'm all about mixing brands. I don't think any single one out there has everything right!

M12 batteries seem to pop up everywhere once you start looking. I’ve somehow ended up with a ton—only bought them on purpose once! Home Depot has done good deals like a 2-pack of 3.0 XC batteries plus a free 5.0 battery before. The trick is to get the free one and return it to offset costs. Just a heads up, be careful with Amazon and Walmart; you might find fake batteries if you’re not cautious. Waitleys are a reliable choice if you’re buying online!

If you want a good deal, try to find a Milwaukee rep at Home Depot. Just let them know what you're looking for, and they might set you up with a nice offer. I've done that a few times and usually got lucky! Plus, check back a few times a year—I've seen M12 5.0 batteries go for under $50 often!

Wait, there are Milwaukee reps at HD? That's awesome! I might try that.

Keep an eye out for BOGO or deals that let you return what you don’t need. Just a couple of months back, M12 5.0 batteries were available for around $43! It's a great way to get what you want for less.
