Tips for Setting Up Solar for Larger Systems: What to Consider?

Hey everyone! I've jumped into solar for my home and have had my share of lessons learned. Initially, I bought a bunch of 12V 150Ah batteries and a 3000W pure sine wave inverter, which has been helpful for my needs. Now, I'm working with a 48V 5000W hybrid inverter for a new woodworking shop that requires significant power for various tools and equipment. My setup includes eight 200W solar panels and some additional ones on the way, but I'm a bit unsure about the best way to proceed. I want to keep solar panels discreet in my backyard and avoid cluttering my roof. So, I'm looking for suggestions on panel placement, whether I should stick to higher voltage systems for lighting and appliances, or explore different voltage options. Any tips on what to avoid and the best charging solutions without relying on the grid would be greatly appreciated!

You might want to consider going with dual EG4 6KXP inverters. One could work, but I'm a bit concerned about the power surge when using those larger woodworking machines. Having two in parallel would definitely help keep up when the surge kicks in.

Yeah, I was worried too, but I tested it with my jointer at max peak and it handled it well! Still, having two might be a wise choice.
