I've been trying to battle these weeds myself and honestly, pulling them out daily feels like my new workout routine. If things get too out of hand, I might just try solarizing the whole area—covering it up and letting the sun do its job!
I recently mowed my lawn super short hoping the heat will help kill off some of those pesky weeds. It's kind of an experimental approach, but I figured it couldn't hurt!
If you've got more weeds than grass, it might be best to start fresh. I suggest tilling the area, raking it out, leveling the soil, and then reseeding, ideally in the fall or early spring. This method usually gives good results! Just a heads up, I'm not a pro, but it’s worked for me before.
