Tips for Unscrewing a Stuck Light Fixture

Hey everyone, I've got a bit of a problem with my light fixture. I haven't had to change the long-lasting LED bulbs in it since 2019, but today it seems to be stuck. I'm supposed to unscrew the nipple to remove the globe, but it won't budge at all! I really don't want to break anything, so I'm looking for some advice on how to get this open. Any suggestions?

If all else fails, these lights are usually pretty cheap, so don’t hesitate to just break it and get a new one. Sometimes it's just not worth the hassle!

I've had this issue before. If the threading is rusted, I've used vice grips to get a better grip on it. Just be careful! You could also try using some latex gloves to help with grip, but make sure to clean the area first so your hands don’t slip. If you're feeling adventurous, a Dremel could help you make a slit in the nipple for better access with a screwdriver!

You might want to spray some WD40 and let it sit for a while; that stuff can work wonders on stuck parts. If you have one of those grip tools for opening jars, that could help too!

Try pushing up on the glass to relieve some pressure from the nipple. Sometimes that little bit of movement helps loosen things up, and then you can work on unscrewing it. Good luck!

Everyone's got their own way of describing it, but let's agree that 'boob lights' could be a fun alternative! ?

Haha, that definitely makes it more entertaining!
