Tips to Avoid Brush Lines When Painting Corners of Walls

I'm finally tackling some painting around the house after my wife's been on my case about it. The biggest issue I face is those annoying brush lines in the corners that a roller just can't reach, and I also deal with this same problem at the ceiling where there's a drop-in detail. Does anyone have any effective techniques to get a smooth finish in those tricky spots?

Consider adding a paint thinner like floterol to your mix. It won’t change the color but helps the brush lines settle into the paint before it dries, giving you a smoother finish overall.

Make sure to invest in a high-quality brush. Load it up with paint so it's almost dripping, and then paint from top to bottom. That way, you reduce the chance of seeing those brush lines!

Yeah, the brush quality makes a huge difference! I've noticed that a good brush gives way better results.

Another method is to use the roller to get as close to the corner as possible, and then follow up with a foam brush. Just dab the surface to blend it all together. It might not be the fastest route for multiple rooms, but it definitely works!

One solid option is to use a corner roller. It's specifically designed to get into those tight spots and helps minimize brush lines. It's worth a try if you're dealing with a lot of corners!
