Transitioning to M18: What Drill and Impact Driver Should I Buy?

Asked By CraftyNinja2023 On

I've used a blue 18V system for the last 20 years, but I'm excited to switch to the M18 EcoSystem. As someone who loves DIY projects, I'm looking for recommendations on a solid drill and impact driver combo. I firmly believe in buying quality tools that will last, so I'm not too concerned about the price. Any suggestions?

As a fellow DIY enthusiast, I can vouch for the Milwaukee M12 FUEL combo, particularly for lightness and versatility. If you're starting to buy red tools, this combo is fantastic for just about any task. Plus, they’re running a promo for free batteries with selected purchases right now. You should definitely consider this option too!

For your needs, I'd recommend the Milwaukee M18 FUEL 18V drill and impact driver combo kit. It's super powerful and built to last, which fits your "buy once, cry once" mindset. I found it can often be snagged for around $280 if you watch for sales, making it a worthy investment for a demanding DIYer! Check out Home Depot for the best deals!

That combo is a solid pick! I've been using it for a while now and it's performed flawlessly on tough jobs.

Hey, I just switched too! I got a great deal on a combo kit that included a second impact driver plus batteries for $240 online. If you pick the M18 impact as a tool-only option, you can sometimes snag the drill driver combo for free! I was sad to move away from my old Makita setup, but the Milwaukees are seriously impressive!
