Trouble Leveling My Router with the Table

Hey everyone! I'm having some trouble with my triton RTA300 router table and Hitachi TR12 router. I can't get the router to sit perfectly level with the working surface, even though it looks fine. This mismatch has caused some damage to my small aluminum template that's meant for use with an inverted pattern router bit. To add to my frustration, the mechanism for attaching the router to the table feels a bit flimsy, especially since some parts are made of plastic. The person I bought this setup from assured me it was compatible, but it just doesn't seem to fit right. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Sounds like you're having a tough time! It might help to post some pictures of your setup so others can see what’s going on. Sometimes it's hard to diagnose the issue without visuals. Have you checked if there’s any play in the router attachment mechanism? That could be contributing to your leveling issues.

I agree, visuals would really help! Also, have you considered using shims to adjust the height? Sometimes a little tweaking goes a long way.
