Hey everyone! I'm new to this whole returning process and I've got a bit of a predicament. I recently tried to return some batteries that came with a tool I purchased, but the clerk refused to take them back, saying they were sold as part of a 'bundle'. Has anyone had a similar experience or know how this typically works? Any insights would be appreciated!

If the batteries are on your receipt as a separate item, then you should be good to return them regardless of what the clerk says. It's all about how they're listed. Just make sure to check your receipt closely!
It sounds like they might be right if you bought a bundle. Typically, if the batteries are included in a bundle deal, you need to return the tool with them. But sometimes clerks get confused – it may not hurt to ask another employee for clarity. Sometimes they just claim it’s a bundle to avoid returns, which isn't cool.
Sometimes it really just depends on the store's policies or the employee's interpretation. It might help to check with customer service or the manager. Don't be afraid to stand up for your rights as a customer!
Good tip! I've had to escalate a return before, and it usually pays off. Just be polite but firm!

I totally get that. It can be frustrating when they seem to change the rules on you. What if I show them my receipt and it's clearly itemized?
