Trouble with My 1/2″ Impact Gun – Is It Covered by Warranty?

Hey everyone, I'm having some issues with my impact gun. When I pull the trigger, it sometimes makes a fluttering sound and stops working, and other times nothing happens at all. If I hold the trigger and twist the socket a bit, it sometimes kicks back into action, but it's not reliable. I've opened it up to check for anything blocking the motor or brushes, but I haven't found anything. By the way, what's the warranty like on these tools?

Milwaukee typically has a 5-year warranty on their power tools. This covers defects in materials and workmanship, but keep in mind it's up to Milwaukee to decide how they handle repairs or replacements. So if you're having issues, it might be worth reaching out to them.

Thanks for the info! Should I just take it back to where I bought it?

Honestly, if you’re considering it, you might want to think about getting a new one soon. I've heard that Milwaukee is raising their prices significantly, like 25-50% more. Plus, most of their tools are manufactured in Asia now, and with tariffs coming into play, that could affect pricing even more.

Wow, good to know! I guess I should make a decision fast.
