Trouble with My 12Ah Batteries – Are Newer Models Better?

Asked By CraftyPineapple92 On

I'm having major issues with my 12Ah batteries that keep draining unevenly and just not performing well. I know the trick to charge individual cells, which I've done a few times, but honestly, I'm tired of taking them apart and spending so much time on it. I'm considering giving up and wondering if the newer models are any better, or if I should switch to Forge batteries instead. Any advice?

One thing to consider is how you're charging them. Are you using a fast charger or charging them when they're hot? It's generally better to slow charge them after resting for a few hours. I've had my 12Ah batteries since 2017, and they still run great for me!

I do rapid charging too, but I always let them cool down first. It seems to make a difference!

That's interesting! I don't let mine rest, so maybe that’s part of the problem.

Have you checked if your batteries are still under warranty? That might save you some headaches if you can get them replaced. If they're six or seven years old, though, I wouldn't expect much. It might be time for an upgrade!

Yeah, I figured they were too old for warranty. Just frustrating!
