Trouble with My Devils Ivy: Need Help!

I've been taking care of a plant I believe is 'Devils Ivy' (or pothos) for a couple of years now. It used to thrive, but lately, I've noticed that many of the leaves are turning dry and falling off. I'm worried I might be doing something wrong with how it's wrapped around my curtain rods, or maybe it's the pot? I try to water it regularly, but I'm not sure if I'm overwatering or underwatering it.

I'm also thinking about trimming it back to about 2 meters high like it was when I first got it. Would that kill the plant or could it actually help? I really love this plant and want to make sure it stays healthy. Any tips would be greatly appreciated! Here are some photos of my plant: [photos here](https://imgur.com/a/nHUH4e7)

It sounds like your plant might actually be a pothos, also known as Devils Ivy. Without a picture, it's a bit tricky to confirm, but it's possible that the vines aren't getting enough light, which is a common issue. Also, keep in mind that it's normal for plants to drop their oldest leaves from time to time. Trimming back those bare vines like you're considering is definitely an option. You could even propagate the cuttings if you want to create a new plant!
