I have a Dewalt 8 amp battery that isn't charging beyond one bar, and it's less than a year old. This past winter, I used it to power a leaf blower to clear snow in extremely cold temperatures. I ran the battery until it died and left it outside in the cold for about five hours. Now, it refuses to charge past one bar. Could the cold have damaged it, or is the battery just defective? I'm looking for advice, especially from people who aren't electricians, on how to revive this pricey piece of equipment. Thanks!

I’ve had similar issues with both a 10 Ah and an 8 Ah battery, and I thought I was out of luck since I never registered my tools. So, don’t feel too bad! Maybe call support, they might have options for you.
You might want to reach out to Dewalt's customer service. They can often help you out and might even send you a replacement battery if it’s within warranty!
Just a heads up, if you were charging the battery while it was cold, that could definitely lead to damage. Lithium batteries don’t usually like being charged below freezing. It’s good to be cautious about that!
I can’t quite remember if I did or not, but that’s really helpful to know!
I’ll definitely give them a call, thanks!
