Trouble with My Inverter while Running a Fridge in My Campervan

I'm having issues with my 1000W inverter while trying to run an Iceco 85L fridge in my campervan. The fridge operates at 60W and I'm using a deep cycle AGM battery rated at 120Ah. Recently, my inverter seems unable to charge the battery or retain any charge, even though it has previously worked fine. The weather has been pretty wet lately, but I haven't faced these problems before. Any ideas on what could be going wrong?

If the inverter isn't showing enough power to run the fridge, there might be an issue with the inverter itself or how it’s connected to the battery. Have you noticed any other signs of power loss? It could also be worth checking the solar controller's readings; sometimes they don’t line up perfectly, especially under cloudy conditions.

Actually, I’ve been confused by the readings too! The inverter doesn’t seem to sync with what the solar controller indicates, which adds to the trouble.

It sounds like you might not even need the inverter since your fridge runs on DC. Have you checked what’s charging your battery? It might just be a matter of connecting things differently! Let’s make sure the setup is optimal, especially if it’s just a small solar panel on your roof.

Thanks for the input! I’ll try to provide more details with some pictures soon. I also have a few USB and LED lights in the van, but I doubt they draw much power. I’m still figuring out the wattage of my solar panel.
