I recently bought the Milwaukee M18 2727-20 Fuel 16" electric chainsaw and had a great experience initially; it cut through medium-sized trees like butter. However, I've run into some serious issues. One day, the chainsaw just stopped cutting. The chain spins, but it doesn't actually cut anything and just smokes instead. I thought it might be a dull chain, so I swapped it for a new one, but that didn't help at all. It's become more of a hassle than a help! Also, I've noticed the chain comes off way too often when I slightly push it, which is super frustrating. Is this common with electric saws, or should I consider switching to a gas-powered model? Has anyone else experienced this?

Have you made sure you're regularly adding bar oil? That’s super important for the saw to function correctly. It can definitely affect cutting performance!
Double-check that the chain isn't on backwards. Chain tension and sharpening can make a huge difference in performance. That’s true for both electric and gas chainsaws!
Nope, I made sure to put it on the right way, so that's not it.
It sounds like you might have a motor issue if the chain isn't cutting. Mine has been doing great after three years of use, but I always use high-output batteries with it. If it’s still under warranty, you should definitely send it in for repairs!
The chain is turning, but it just feels weaker now. I'm using the 12.0 HD batteries, but it's not performing how it used to.
Yeah, sounds like the motor might be burning out. Definitely check into repairs.

Yep! I'm really strict about keeping the oil topped off. I don’t think that's the issue.
