I'm having serious issues with my AC since they installed a new Nest thermostat after it broke last year. Right now, the heat index is hitting 108 degrees, but my apartment feels like an oven. I've set the thermostat to cool every other hour, but it just keeps the fan running and reads 84 degrees. I've already asked for an air filter change, but I'm really at a loss for what else to try. Any help would be appreciated!

I’m not super familiar with Nest, but it seems like you should just set a desired temperature and let it run until it cools down. If the actual air temperature isn’t drastically higher (like yours at 92 in Florida), make sure it’s not set to auto-schedule too much. Sometimes those programs can cause issues if they're trying to optimize energy usage too aggressively.
It sounds like you should definitely reach out to maintenance to check the thermostat and AC unit. Since the issues started after the thermostat was replaced, it might have been wired incorrectly. They should be able to correct that for you!
Perf I'll ask them! Thanks

The air temp isn't much higher; it's about 92 (Florida) and similar heat to last year. And yes, I have to set it to a desired temp, but if I don’t auto-schedule, it does its own thing for optimization. I set it every other hour to prevent it from fighting a higher temp all the time.
