Hey everyone! I recently installed a wired Ring doorbell camera and connected the red and white wires to it. However, it's not powering on during setup. I noticed that the red and white wires in the transformer box aren't connected to the "front" and "trans" screws. I've shared some photos in the comments to help clarify what I mean. Additionally, the chime is wired in a way that seems to be powered by batteries. I think I found the transformer in a closet near the installation, but it's not connected to anything. Can anyone offer some troubleshooting advice?

Hey! Have you checked the power rating of your doorbell transformer? A lot of older homes use transformers with lower voltage ratings that might not provide enough power for your doorbell. If it's supposed to be 16 volts, that should work, but just make sure you've got the right connections in place. Let me know if you find out!

I think it’s actually 16 volts, which is what I see on the transformer.
