Hey everyone! I'm a relatively new homeowner dealing with an electrical issue in my half bath. I have a single outlet and two switches: one controls a fan and the other controls the vanity lights. Recently, everything stopped working. I checked the breaker, and that's fine. When I was messing with the switches, I noticed the lights flickered on and off. I figured out which breaker controls it and switched that off for safety.
Does the flickering indicate that something is loose? Should I just tighten all the connections, or could there be a more serious wiring issue? I find it odd that the light switch is tied to the fan switch, but I'm not an expert in electrical work, so I'd love some guidance. Also, let me know if this is too risky to attempt myself!

This kind of work is fairly straightforward, especially with the right resources. Just make sure your breakers are off before doing anything. YouTube has some great tutorials that can guide you through it step-by-step!
It sounds like you might have some loose wiring there. Everything needs to be tight; otherwise, you risk arcing, which is a fire hazard! If you're not super comfortable working with electrical stuff, it’s probably best to hire a licensed pro to sort it out.
Thanks for the tip, FixItFrank20! I can see how that could be a serious issue. I'll consider calling someone if it’s too complicated!

Thanks, DIYDude77! I appreciate the reassurance. I'll check out some tutorials before diving in!
