I'm planning to upgrade the casing around my doors from 2 1/4" to 3 1/2". I have several doors situated in corners, and I'm looking for advice on how to properly case those corners. What's the best way to cut the casing so it fits nicely? I'll also be switching to white doors, but I'm mainly focused on the casing right now. I wish I could share pictures, but I'm unable to attach them.

To properly case the corners, you'll need to square off the mitered head casing where it meets the corner. This usually means cutting the outer edge off so that it fits flush into the corner. It's important to get those angles right for a neat finish!
Yeah, I recommend mitering the entire length of the casing. When you put the pieces together, it’ll look seamless, almost like one continuous piece. Just make sure your cuts are precise, and you should have a professional look!

Do I miter the two side pieces or just let them butt together?
