Hey everyone! Yesterday, I was working on some crown molding with my old Stanley coping saw that my dad handed down to me. While it gets the job done, I feel like it could be better. I'm considering upgrading my saw and I've heard some good things about Knew Concepts saws as well as the new Katz-Moses version. I'm also looking forward to building my own turning saw someday, but in the meantime, I'd appreciate any recommendations for a coping saw! Thanks in advance!

I’ve been using a Knew Concepts saw for years, and it's performed really well for me. I also found a Blue Spruce saw at a great price recently, and it’s fantastic! Definitely worth considering both.
Honestly, I say skip the coping saws and just build a small turning saw instead. There are some good coping saws out there, but they can get pricey. With a turning saw, you'll have the advantage of always keeping the blade taut, and it won’t break the bank. I’m planning to make one myself this month!
I have a turning saw from the Gramercy kit, and it's amazing! I actually prefer it over the Knew Concepts saw that I also own. The adjustable tension is nice, but I’ve had trouble keeping it consistent like I thought I would.
+1 for the Gramercy! It lets you use ultra-narrow Pegas coping blades, which are a game changer. Plus, I love having that 12" blade for quick cuts.

Totally agree! The turning saw seems like the way to go. You can get good results without spending too much.
