I'm in the process of upgrading my home inverter and I'm torn between the EG4 12kW and the Solarc 12kW. I've heard great things about the Solarc, but it's about $2000 more expensive. I currently have EG4 48V 100Ah batteries, which should work better with the EG4 inverter due to their compatibility. My main concern is whether the Solarc is truly worth the extra cash, especially considering that it might complicate things with my battery communication and require more setup on my part. Am I missing anything in my decision? Any advice would be appreciated!

I have the EG4 18kPV and I'm really satisfied! It comes with several battery types pre-programmed, which could be a plus for you. Plus, you can disconnect it from the Internet while still monitoring locally, which I love. The info and support from EG4 and Signature Solar have been super helpful. I did the installation myself thanks to the great resources available on YouTube, so that was a big part of my decision. Just a note—while I haven’t had it long enough for durability reports, my wife also likes how it looks—very stylish for our barn!
I've seen a lot of people using the EG4 inverter, and honestly, I think it's a solid choice. There's really nothing wrong with it; many users have had positive experiences!
Awesome. Thank you.
