Hey everyone! I'm pretty new to this forum, so I hope you can help me out. I've been using an Ecoflow River with 160W foldable solar panels for a couple of years, and recently, I decided to upgrade to a Renogy 200W rigid panel since it has the same connectors. However, when I plug the Renogy panel into the River, it doesn't seem to respond at all. Is there something specific I need to do? Do I have to upgrade to a more powerful Ecoflow battery like a Delta, or is there a compatibility issue with the Renogy panel? I've read that Ecoflow batteries have built-in converters, so I shouldn't need any extra connections, right? Thanks a lot for any insight!

It sounds like you're on the right track! The Renogy 200W panel should work with your Ecoflow River. Just to be sure, please check the specs of both your panel and the Ecoflow. You should also make sure you’re plugging it correctly. If it's a River 1, it should handle that panel without issues, but sometimes the solar controller settings might require a little tweak if it doesn't recognize the new panel right away. Also, confirm that the panel is actually producing voltage. There might be a chance that either the panel or the wiring has an issue, so checking that could help too. Good luck!
I think you might be overthinking it a bit! The Ecoflow River should work fine with the Renogy 200W, but make sure it’s actually the right model since there are multiple versions of the River. If possible, try to get a hold of the technical specs or the manual for both. If the panel is correct and you've confirmed it's working, then you might not need a new battery just yet; you could just need to fiddle with the connections a bit. It could even be a simple fix!
Thanks for the tips! I’ll double-check everything and see if I can get those specs. I really hope it’s just a quick fix!

Yeah, checking the panel output is a great first step. You might want to test the panel with a multimeter to see if it’s generating power at all. If it’s not producing anything, that could be the problem right there.
