Hi everyone! Recently, I noticed a part of my upstairs floor has caved in while I was walking on it. It sounded like the wood snapped, and I initially thought a floorboard split. After lifting the carpet, I found it's OSB flooring underneath. There's no visible moisture, but the floor has caved in again near the same area, and I'm really worried about the safety of the entire floor. I might share some photos if that helps, but I'm mainly looking for any advice on what steps I should take. Thanks a lot for your help!

First off, definitely pull up the OSB to see what's happening underneath. It could reveal the root of the problem, and you'll want to know what you're dealing with before taking any further steps.
The floor may not be safe to walk on, so it’s crucial to check beneath the OSB to find out what broke. It might be best to get a pro involved if things look serious—it could be beyond a DIY fix.
Sounds like you've already looked under the OSB and didn't find anything obvious. But if the boards split in half, that’s a red flag. Make sure to inspect the floor joists that run under the OSB. If you see any weak spots or damage, I’d recommend getting a professional to take a look before you replace anything.
