I'm a total beginner gardener and I've been thinking about using grass clippings as mulch because it's so easy for me to get. Has anyone tried this? I'd love some thoughts or recommendations from those who've done it before!

Grass clippings can work really well as mulch! Just make sure you're using clippings from grass that hasn't gone to seed and hasn't been treated with herbicides. That way, you avoid introducing weeds into your garden. It's a smart and accessible option for beginners!
Definitely be cautious about the type of grass you use. Fescue clippings are great for mulch since they clump and mainly spread through seeds. But avoid using Bermuda grass clippings because they spread a lot more aggressively through runners and seeds. You don't want to end up with an uncontrollable patch in your garden!
Awesome, thanks for the tip!
