Using M18 Power Source with Heated Gear: Is it Too Bulky?

I'm considering using my M18 power source with the new heated jacket and vest, which have double prongs. Is it going to be too bulky, and will it disconnect too easily since the power source has a single prong? Alternatively, I could buy more M12 CP batteries, as I've found M12 HO 2.5's for $35 from a gray market source, but I haven't seen discounts for M12 CP3.0s anywhere.

If you're worried about bulk, consider getting a regular battery bank instead. They're available in various sizes and can be paired with an adapter. I found a 30,000mAh one that doesn't feel like a weight in your pocket compared to the M18. It works perfectly without being bulky!

I've used a small M18 battery with my jacket in extreme cold, and while it is a bit bulky, it hasn’t unplugged accidentally for me. I typically stick it in my tool belt, but on super cold days, it keeps me warm for over five hours on high. Just remember to turn off the inverter when you’re done to avoid draining the battery!

For this setup, the M12 CP3.0 is definitely the way to go; it's designed for it and comes with the Axis jackets. If you're thinking of alternatives, M12 CP2.5s are solid, but avoid buying from unauthorized sellers since they do go on sale often.
