Hey all, I'm a new homeowner and this is my first winter dealing with snow. I've noticed that after the bigger snowstorms, water is actually dripping from inside my range hood's ventilation onto the snow below. The range hood vents out through the roof, so I'm guessing there's an issue with the vent or its seal. I'm curious, what kind of contractor should I reach out to for help with this? I won't be able to tackle it myself in the near future.

It sounds like you might have a problem with your vent system, especially if water is coming down through the fan area and grease filters. You should definitely look into hiring a roofing contractor or a general handyman who specializes in vent repairs. They’ll be able to assess the seal and fix any issues to prevent further leaks.
Yeah, it’s likely an issue with the vent seal or the way water is getting into the ductwork. I’d recommend contacting a contractor who has experience with kitchen ventilation systems. They can check for leaks and ensure everything is properly sealed up. It’s usually a quick fix, so don’t stress too much about it!
