Weed Tea vs. Urine: Which Makes the Better Free Fertilizer?

I'm diving into brewing weed tea for fertilizing, but I'm finding it a bit of a hassle with the odor and all. I know it's a decent free fertilizer, though. I also have seaweed that I use weekly and some tomato feed for fortnightly applications. I throw in some blood and bone meal and magnesium too, mostly for my citrus plants.

But I'm curious—what's the general opinion on using weed tea versus urine? Are there any solid recommendations for which is better overall? I'm already using compost and seed raising to get things started, but I'd love your input!

Urine can be risky since it’s really high in nitrogen, which might burn some plants if you don’t dilute it. But if you manage the concentration like you would with weed tea, it could work fine. Just be cautious about how strong it is!

True! Diluting it would definitely help, like with weed tea!

Honestly, I wouldn’t use urine. I reckon it's overrated. Have you thought about banana peel tea or potato skins? Those are awesome for nutrients and might be more effective. Also, growing peas can help fix nitrogen in the soil naturally!

Interesting take! I’ve never thought of banana or potato. I’ll add those to my list to try out.
