What affordable design software do you recommend for circuit simulation?

As an electrical engineering student, I've been using Multisim and UltiBoard in class, and I find them pretty intuitive. However, since I'm on the educational edition, I want to explore other software that's either free or affordable but offers similar functionalities. What alternatives would you suggest? Thank you for your help!

If you're looking for alternatives, LTSpice is one of the best options out there for circuit simulation. There's also the Falstad Circuit Simulator if you want something more visual. And if you're interested in options beyond simulation, consider KiCad and EasyEDA for PCB design!

To boost your skills, I really recommend trying LTSpice as it's widely used in the industry. Additionally, Texas Instruments has a free tool called TI-TINA which supports generic SPICE simulations and has built-in TI models. For schematic capture and PCB layout, KiCad is fantastic!

I’ve started using KiCad, but it feels like there's a learning curve as everything seems to take an extra step compared to what I've used before. I'm definitely going to dive deeper into LTSpice and give KiCad more time. Thanks for the suggestions!
