Hey everyone! This morning I found my 4 lb bag of peat moss pulled out onto the porch and partially chewed open. To make things worse, my large bag of bone meal was dragged out into the front yard, completely emptied. I'm really curious about what kind of animal has the strength to move four or more pounds of stuff around my yard. I've got a few thoughts – could it be raccoons? I'm kind of freaked out since my supplies were in a screened room on my deck, even though the door was open. Has anyone else experienced something like this? Should I be more cautious?

Bone meal has a strong smell that can attract all sorts of critters interested in meat, so if you have raccoons nearby, they're definitely potential culprits! As for the peat moss, they might just be having some fun with it. Watch out for those masked bandits!

I've seen signs of many different animals, but raccoons are usually the ones caught in the act! I've dealt with deer, rabbits, and a bunch of squirrels too, but this is next level. The thought of something larger, like a bobcat, makes me a bit nervous! Maybe keeping a closer eye out while you're checking on your garden is a good idea!
