What are Alternatives to Glass for Faux Windows in a Rental Apartment?

I'm looking to create a faux window in my rental apartment without installing actual glass. I want to add a privacy mirror tint to my living room but I'm concerned about using glass since I don't want to risk damaging it. I was considering supergluing some plexiglass sheets together, but I wonder if that's the best option for a larger window size. Any suggestions on see-through materials that would work well and are budget-friendly?

So, I heard that mirror tint can allow people to see inside if they have more light, which might not be what you're after. Maybe try a glass stain tint instead? It could add a nice look during the day! Plus, covering it with curtains at night will definitely help with privacy.

Yeah, I'd love to known how that turns out!
