What are good companion plants for roses that won’t attract pollinators?

I recently started my own little patio garden and I'm excited about it! However, my 18-year-old special needs daughter has a lifelong fear of bees and flying insects. I'm looking for advice on companion plants for my roses that won't attract pollinators, so she can enjoy spending time outside without feeling anxious. Any suggestions?

Consider going for the David Austin roses with thick petals. They tend to be less appealing to bees compared to single-petal varieties, making them a safer bet for your daughter while still looking beautiful!

That's a great idea! I'm definitely looking into those roses for my patio.

Have you thought about petunias or pansies? They tend to be loved by people but don't seem to attract many bugs. Plus, they'll add some nice color to your garden without inviting the bees!
