I'm currently remodeling my basement, which is about 1500 sq ft and doesn't have any moisture issues. The space was previously a workshop, and half of it is a crawlspace with a ceiling height of 3-4 ft (sometimes even lower because of HVAC). I'm planning to just use that area for storage, while the other half might serve as a small workshop and potentially a gym in the future. I initially thought about hiring professionals for epoxy flooring, but the cost is too steep. Unfortunately, grinding the floors isn't an option for me, although I can clean them well with vacuuming, washing, and acid etching. What would be the best choice for achieving a smooth finish on this dusty floor? Should I go for paint, DIY epoxy, or something else?

Honestly, I’d recommend using garage paint for the basement floor since moisture isn't a concern for you. I’ve had great results with it in my own basement! It gives a nice finish and holds up well.
Got any brand suggestions? Did you need to apply a primer first?
