I live in a 1980s ranch-style house that heats with oil and doesn't have central air. My mostly finished basement stays cool and low in humidity during summer, and it opens directly into my kitchen and living area. I'm looking for ways to pull that cool air from the basement into the main part of the house. Heating pumps are out of my budget right now, and I'm not keen on window units due to their high electricity costs.
