Hey everyone! I'm new here and looking for advice on container options for my gardening. I usually have a raised keyhole garden where I grow beans, cucumbers, tomatoes, and peppers. This season, I'm thinking about using containers instead. I've started some Brussels sprouts seeds indoors and would love to hear what kinds of containers you all are using. I'm hoping to avoid expensive pots, especially the larger ones, so I'm considering 5-gallon buckets from the hardware store. What creative and budget-friendly container ideas do you all have? Thanks for your help!

I totally understand wanting to save money! While I did invest in some higher-quality pots that have lasted me over 30 years, I think your bucket idea could work great, especially if you drill some drainage holes a few inches up the side to create self-watering pots. They can be budget-friendly and durable in the long run! Just make sure the size works for your plants. Good luck with your Brussels sprouts!

Thanks for the tip on drainage! I’m still figuring it all out, and I’m very open to ideas for budget containers.
