I've got a tiled shower that features a drain with a basket under a removable tile insert. Honestly, I really dislike this basket because I have to clean it out every week; it's always packed with hair. Just to be clear, I have buzzed hair, so this is all from one person, and it feels excessive. In my previous shower, the strainer worked differently, and I only had to clean it every few months. Is there a viable alternative to this basket that I could consider?

Just to add, is your old basket really allowing a lot of hair through? Sometimes lesser designs let through more gunk, which could explain the difference. But if it’s been working for you without clogs, maybe it wasn’t so bad after all!
You might want to get everyone in your household involved in cleaning it! I get that it's annoying, but if everyone pitches in, it might make it more manageable. Just a thought!
I’ve heard that going without a basket can be risky. You wouldn’t want to accidentally drop something valuable down there. Just be cautious with that.
