I'm trying to expand my houseplant collection while ensuring they're safe for my cat. I usually keep my plants out of her reach, but I'm looking for easier options that aren't toxic to cats. Can anyone recommend some good houseplants that are safe for feline friends?

Spider plants are a top choice! Cats love them, and they can have a little fun nibbling on the leaves without any harm. I also hear pothos and philodendrons are common, but they're actually toxic, so maybe steer clear of those. Calatheas are non-toxic, too, but they can be a bit fussy about care.
Consider getting Hoya, orchids, or even African violets! They’re all non-toxic to cats. I also love the goldfish plant and lipstick plant—super cute and safe. Spider plants are also in there, but just a heads up, they can have a bit of a 'hallucinogenic' effect on cats, which might be fun to watch!
