Hey everyone! I'm located in Georgia and currently have a few succulents, but I'm looking to expand my indoor plant collection. I'm specifically interested in easy, low-maintenance houseplants that thrive in the humid environment of Georgia. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

If you want recommendations, I’ve heard great things about Pothos, spider plants, heartleaf philodendrons, ZZ plants, snake plants, tradescantia, and peace lilies. They’re not only beautiful, but they’re sturdy and really easy to care for.
Also, consider trying phalaenopsis orchids! They thrive on neglect—just water them when the roots start looking silvery, and they’ll be fine for weeks. They’re perfect with low to medium light and hardly need fertilizer. Just avoid overwatering, and you’ll see them bloom a few times a year!
Check out holiday cacti; they’ve been blooming beautifully for me since fall! I’ve spotted Easter cacti at places like Pike and Walmart recently. They love bright, indirect light! Also, Pothos and Scindapsus are really easy to manage, just make sure not to overwater them.

Peace lilies are a great option to start with! They’re beautiful and quite forgiving, making them perfect for beginners. Plus, they can flourish even in low light conditions!
