What Are Some Easy Low-Light Plants Safe for Cats?

I'm moving soon and want to try my hand at keeping plants again, even though I don't have much experience with them. I'll have a full basement that's not very bright, so I'm looking for plants that can thrive in low light. Also, I've got cats, so I'd like to make sure the plants I choose aren't toxic to them. Any suggestions on what I should consider?

Consider getting pothos plants, like jade or golden varieties. They can handle lower light and are safe for your furry friends. If you ever decide to go for plants that need a bit more light, you could look into some good grow lights too!

You might want to check out aspidistra elatior, also known as cast iron plants. They're super tough, can handle full shade, and are super low maintenance. Plus, they're safe for cats!

Spider plants are a great option! They thrive in low light and are non-toxic to cats. I love them, and they're pretty easygoing too. Just a heads-up, if you have some baby spider plants already, they may do better in larger pots!
