What Are Some Easy Plants for Beginner Gardeners?

Hey everyone! I'm looking to dive into gardening as a way to relax and reduce my anxiety, especially with everything going on. My only experience is with a bamboo plant I had a few years back, which sadly didn't make it. Since I live in an apartment without a backyard, I'd love to know what potted plants would be best for a beginner like me. Any suggestions?

For beginners, I really recommend snake plants (also called mother-in-law's tongue). They’re super resilient and do well in both bright and low light. Plus, they have air-purifying qualities, so that’s a nice bonus!

That sounds great! I love that they can thrive in different lighting conditions. I'll definitely look into them.

You should check out spider plants! They’re really easy to care for and they even produce little offshoots you can propagate. Another one to consider is a Christmas cactus; it's low maintenance and you get beautiful flowers during the holiday season.

Look into pothos as well! They're almost foolproof and can grow in a variety of conditions. Just make sure you don’t overwater them. Perfect for a first-time gardener living in an apartment!
