I'm looking for a low-maintenance plant to put in my classroom, which has lots of sunlight thanks to its wall of windows. I want something that can survive over the weekends as this will be my first time caring for a plant!

You should definitely consider getting a Pothos! They only need watering about once a week and are super easy to care for. Plus, they grow new leaves pretty quickly—you might end up with enough to share cuttings with your students at the end of the year!
A Peace Lily might be a great fit! Just make sure it doesn't get too much direct sunlight. When the leaves start drooping, that's your cue to water it, and when it's standing tall, leave it alone. Super simple!

What if my room gets too hot? I live in a really warm place and I worry about it burning.
