Hey everyone! I'm looking for some awesome YouTube channels that focus on restoring hand tools. I've got some old Disston saws, Stanley planes, and levels that I want to work on, and I'd love to learn some techniques and best practices beyond what I know from woodworking. If you have any favorite channels or well-known ones that cover this topic, please share! I'm hoping to get started next weekend.

Another excellent channel is Hand Tool Rescue. He offers narrated videos on Patreon for those who want even deeper insights. And definitely check out LADB Restoration; they do a variety of restorations including hand tools. Screws And Tools also deserves a shout-out for his relatable content—he’s really talented and shows you don’t need to break the bank to restore tools. All these channels provide genuine, quality content without the weird gimmicks some channels pull!
For a mix of fun and learning, Just Plane Fun is my go-to. He shares a lot of great info on antique hand tools too!
Huge thanks for the recommendation!
I really recommend checking out Rex Kreuger. He’s fantastic and has a full course dedicated to hand plane restoration. His approach is super friendly and easy to follow!
Wow, I didn’t know Rex had restoration videos! I work on a Rex English joiners bench every day, so that’s great to hear. Thanks for the tip!

Wow, this is a treasure trove of information. Thanks to everyone for these awesome suggestions!
