I'm really struggling with keeping plants alive in my place! It seems like any plant that thrives on neglect just doesn't work for me. The only one doing okay is my aloe vera. My snake plant seems to have a personal grudge against me because I try to care for it too much, and I can't keep cactuses alive, either. Right now, I have a healthy nerve plant, and I just started growing marijuana—heard it's high maintenance! I'm looking for suggestions on other high maintenance plants to try out. Are there any that you love?

Honestly, if a plant requires high maintenance, it means you might need to tweak your growing conditions. I find that my coleus and poinsettia are pretty demanding since they need watering and trimming often—they grow super fast! Just keep an eye on them, and you'll do fine.
Alocasias are a fantastic choice for high maintenance! Variegated types are especially picky about watering. I have a couple, and I check on them several times a day. They do great in greenhouse conditions, too!
Have you thought about tropical plants? They can be high maintenance, especially ferns! I find they really need that humidity to thrive, so if your place is dry, it might not work out well. But they can be great if you have the right setup!
I live in a dry area too, but my greenhouse keeps the humidity around 65-80%. It makes a big difference for my tropical plants!

I've been hesitant to buy an Alocasia because I hear they can be tricky, but now I'm really tempted after hearing how well yours are doing!
