I'm looking for plants that have a strong fragrance similar to hyacinths but can last longer throughout the summer. I've tried night-scented stock but haven't had any luck getting it to thrive. I love the smell of hyacinths—I have them in planters everywhere—but they don't last very long. Are there any other plants with a similar scent that could provide a more extended blooming period?

You might want to try plants like jasmine or honeysuckle, they’re really lovely and have a great scent. For variety, consider azalea or rhododendron, especially the Rhododendron luteum. I also love the Daphne 'Eternal Fragrance' and some roses like Madame Isaac Pereire for their scent. I decided to focus on scented plants a few years ago, and those have been winners for sure!
Have you considered different types of lilies? They can be super fragrant, especially Lilium nepalense, which is one of my favorites for both scent and color. I have a mix of citrus plants too; they keep flowering and smelling amazing all year round! Definitely worth adding some lilies to your collection.

Thanks for the suggestions! I already have a lilac, the Boomerang variety, which I adore. I also collect David Austin roses; they’re lovely, but unless you get really close, the scent isn't that strong. I have honeysuckles on either side of my garden, but they haven't flowered at all.
