Hey everyone! I'm from Georgia and have a couple of succulents. I'm really looking to expand my indoor plant collection and would love recommendations for easy-to-care-for houseplants that thrive indoors, especially considering Georgia's humidity. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

In my bedroom, I have ZZ plants, haworthiopsis, and snake plants, and they do really well with just east-facing windows and some grow lights. Just make sure to use gritty soil and water them carefully. Both Haworthia and Gasteria can survive without direct sunlight, which is a bonus!
If you're looking for low-maintenance houseplants, I highly recommend the Zebra Haworthia. I keep mine in a sunny room, and it thrives without needing a grow light. Another great option is the Haworthia Limifolia, which I’ve found to be super easy to care for too. Just remember to use the right soil and avoid overwatering them! They can really brighten up your space without a lot of fuss.
I think it's important to note that many people starting with succulents might not realize how much light they actually need. Though some succulents can be great indoor plants, they often require grow lights to thrive. If you're interested in other types, Jades and Aloe Veras are beginner-friendly and usually easy to find!
