What Are Some Unique or Antique Hand Tools You Own?

I've been browsing and noticed that a lot of what gets shared are the usual hand planes and other common tools. I'm really curious to see some unique hand tools or antiques that people have. They don't need to be both unique and antique; just anything that's a bit more interesting than the typical tools would be great!

Here's a neat restoration update for an Ohio Tool Co. #037 (Jenny) that I'm working on. It's uncommon and antique, not super precious, but definitely unique! Maybe it fits your request?

Check out this awesome vintage twin mortise chisel from Japan! It's perfect for making sliding doors and window frames. Here's a pic of it: /mp8igxhhldkf1.jpeg. It's one of my favorite pieces!

I get where you're coming from, but asking for unique tools without specifying what you're looking for is a bit tricky. For example, my unique tools are some brass proportional dividers and a set of marking gauges from the 1800s—pretty special to me as they're one of a kind. Plus, I made my own brass and oak saw jointer, which is also super unique! Here's a pic: /rt82riulndkf1.jpeg. Unique tools often have stories or rarity behind them, making them valuable to collectors!

No offense taken! I totally understand your point. I'm just looking for those oddball tools that might be hiding at the bottom of a toolbox—something I haven't seen before. By the way, your saw jointer looks fantastic!

You nailed it! The excitement of discovering an interesting tool with a history beats mundane tools any day!
