I'm looking to start a garden next year and I'm particularly interested in blue, purple, and black tomatoes. I'd love to hear about your favorite varieties along with their pros and cons. Which ones grow best, and more importantly, which ones have the best flavor?

I've also had success with Black Krim alongside Cherokee Purple. Those are great for their color! For taste, I'd say Brandywines are unbeatable, and for snacking, you can't go wrong with Sun Sugars. If you’re into canning, go for San Marzanos; they're perfect for that.

If you're looking for something a bit different, try Paul Robeson. They have this unique smoky flavor that’s awesome both fresh and when turned into sauces.

Cherokee Purple is definitely a crowd pleaser! It's a staple in my garden every year. The flavor is just incredible, and it’s become essential for my tomato lineup.

I totally agree! Cherokee Purples are so flavorful; I can’t imagine growing tomatoes without them!
