What are the best evergreen options for privacy fencing?

I'm on the lookout for evergreen plants to use as a privacy fence. We planted Leyland Cypress a couple of years ago, but I really regret that decision because they grew too quickly and ended up falling over this winter due to the snow and wind. I'm considering getting some 8 ft Emerald Green Arborvitaes from my local nursery to create an instant privacy screen. Is that a wise choice? I'm also concerned since there's a black walnut tree nearby, which has harmed several plants in the area. I've heard that Arborvitaes can tolerate the toxic effects of black walnuts, but I'd love to hear what others think! Thanks in advance! By the way, we're in Zone 6b ?

Emerald Green Arborvitaes are a solid choice, but you should be aware that they do need regular watering, especially in their first year. If the summers are dry, some might struggle, but you can always replace any that die off. Keep an eye on them!

Thanks for the heads up! I didn’t realize they needed so much water. Do you have any other recommendations for screening plants that might fare better?
