What are the best evergreen pots I can use for my patio?

I'm about to move, and my new place has a lot of composite decking outside but no garden area. I want to make it feel lively with plants but need suggestions for evergreen pot plants that won't grow taller than 6 feet. I've been thinking about getting a couple of Californian lilac trees since they look stunning. Any other ideas?

If you have any shady spots, camellias work really well in pots! They can add some lovely greenery without too much fuss.

Californian lilacs are gorgeous! You might also consider adding some colorful potted flowers or trees. Acacias and mimosas are beautiful when they're in bloom, plus magnolias are coming into season now. A ‘bottlebrush bush’ could be a vibrant addition as well!

You should definitely look into Musa basjoo for some drama. Also, tricolor phormium, climbing roses, or philadelphus could add great variety too!

Thanks, I'll have a look at them this evening!
