I'm looking to add a plant or two to my room that not only thrives indoors but also fills the space with a lovely fragrance. I usually keep my curtains open for sunlight, so I hope that's enough light for them. Any recommendations on fragrant plants that would work well in an indoor setting?

If you're looking for something simple, try growing basil or rosemary under a grow light. They're both aromatic and can do well indoors, just make sure they get adequate light to thrive!
Have you considered Meyer lemon plants? The flowers are absolutely beautiful and have a delightful scent. They're not too hard to care for, but they do enjoy a good amount of bright sunlight, so keep that in mind!
Bright light is usually good enough for them! Just make sure they get some direct sunlight.
Hoyas are fantastic for their strong fragrance! I have one that's currently blooming, and I can smell it all the way from the hallway. They tend to bloom for a long time, plus the flowers are really pretty. Just keep in mind that not all Hoyas are highly scented, but varieties like Hoya krohniana and Hoya lacunosa smell great and bloom nicely with enough light.
Sounds like I need to get a Hoya! Do they bloom often?
Yeah, but some may not be as fragrant as others. Mine tends to bloom a lot, but it took a bit of time to get started.
How much sun do they actually need? Is anything less than bright light okay?
