I'm looking to freshen up my home by adding some indoor plants, as I've heard they can improve air quality. I want some easy-care plants that can thrive in average light conditions and actually make a difference in the air quality—bonus points if they're safe for my cat who loves to chew on things! So far, I've got a snake plant and a pothos, which seem to be doing well, but I'm unsure if they're really effective. I tried a peace lily in the past, but it didn't survive (I probably overwatered it). What are your experiences with plants that clean the air or make a room feel fresher or less stuffy? I'd love some real-life recommendations. Thanks!

I’m a big fan of ferns, especially in bathrooms. They look stunning and thrive well with the light conditions most people have. Plus, they're pretty hardy!
Snake plants and pothos are definitely solid picks! They’re known to help purify the air, so you’re on the right track. It's not just hype—they actually do make a difference!
If you're really aiming for air quality improvement, it might be better to consider getting an air purifier with a HEPA filter. While many houseplants can help, they don't clean the air as effectively as you might think!
Spider plants and Boston ferns are awesome too! They’re low-maintenance, pet-safe, and I swear the air feels cleaner when they’re around. Definitely worth trying out!
